What is it?

The Baratza Vario+ is an all-purpose home coffee grinder with 54mm flat ceramic burrs. This burr grinder has a digital time-based dosing system down to the tenth of a second, dual stepped adjustment, and a hands-free metal portafilter holder as well as a grounds bin.

Who is it for?

The Vario+ is for the home coffee enthusiast who will never be satisfied with just one brewing method. If you like to have the flexibility to switch back and forth between espresso and drip coffee and seek one grinder that can do it all well, the Vario+ can keep up with your wildly varying demands. It provides deliciously consistent results across the spectrum. 

Why do we carry it?

Before the Vario, a burr grinder that was truly adept at all-purpose coffee grinding, switching between espresso, drip coffee, and french press with ease, just didn’t exist. At all. Baratza’s unique perspective, being a coffee grinder company that almost exclusively caters to the home market, made that void glaringly obvious. Years after releasing the Vario and now Vario+, it still dominates this category. Even if you were to grade it solely on its merits as an espresso grinder, it would get high marks. Great consistency, easy to clean, low retention, and its ceramic burrs reduce mitigating heat. But it ranks just as high as a coffee grinder for any other purpose. The real question here is: how could we not carry it?
